What SCOU is

SCOU is a price comparison and AI shopping assistant. We help you compare prices across Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and TikTok Shop. We do not sell products ourselves — all purchases happen on the retailer's site after you leave our app. We are not responsible for products, sellers, or transactions on external sites.

Who can use SCOU

• You must be at least 13 years old
• Ages 13–17 require parent or guardian permission
• You must be a human — automated account creation is not allowed
• You must be in a country where SCOU is legal under local law

Affiliate links — full disclosure

When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer under FTC guidelines (16 CFR Part 255):

• You pay the same price regardless of whether you use SCOU
• We earn the same rate across all stores — no incentive to favor any retailer
• We never replace or override affiliate links belonging to content creators or publishers

AI features — what they are and are not

AI-powered features (Buy-or-Wait, Price Verdict, Morning Brief, Scout chat) are informational only. They are not financial advice or guarantees. Price predictions are estimates. Do not make high-value decisions based solely on our AI output.

Price data accuracy

Prices are retrieved from third-party APIs in good faith but may differ at checkout. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's checkout page. The retailer's checkout price is the legally binding price for your purchase.

What you may not do

• Scrape or harvest data using automated tools
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the app
• Use SCOU to build a competing product
• Create fake accounts or manipulate the Price IQ or referral systems
• Upload harmful content, malware, or anything illegal
• Use SCOU for any unlawful purpose under US law

Group buying

Group Buy is a demand-signaling tool, not a binding purchase commitment. Joining does not obligate you to buy. "Deal unlocked" notifications are informational and do not guarantee any particular price from the retailer.

Creator referral program

• Fraudulent referrals forfeit commissions and result in account termination
• SCOU never replaces your affiliate links when users come through your content
• Earnings exceeding IRS thresholds may result in a 1099 form

Disclaimer of warranties

SCOU is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or price accuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Delaware law. Disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under AAA rules — not class action lawsuits. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of account creation by emailing optout@getscou.app.

Changes to these terms

We will notify you by email and in-app at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
